Manchester Metropolitan University, Department of History, Politics and Philosophy (Politics section) present a seminar on the aesthetic and political issues around NSK, accompanied by an exhibition of Folk Art.

NSK Passport Issuing

Friday 22 June, 6 - 8pm, £23

Join the NSK State In Time by obtaining your own NSK Passport.

The passports will be issued using the unique NSK passport machine. The holder is then granted full citizenship to the NSK State, a virtual state in time. The passport fee is £23 (cash payments only), time slots run at 10 minute intervals. Spaces are limited so advance booking is recommended.

Artrocker review of Laibach at Tate Modern:

“As if to momentarily humanise the war scenes on film between each track, the band interspersed a collection of sampled rhymes and popular contemporary songs from the era. As for the film, the reversal trick of having reconstruction followed by destruction is simple, and yet so poignant and thought provoking. Having just reread Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse 5, I suggest you try his description of Billy Pilgrim’s hallucinogenic viewing of a war film backwards to get the literary version of what Laibach achieve in the first half of tonight’s performance.”
